Scouting the Wildcats
: Davidson will be looking to close out 2009 on a strong note. The 'Cats are winless so far in five dual meets, but are coming off a strong showing at the Davidson Open. Junior Alex Radsky earned his first-career tournament title, winning at 133 pounds. The tournament was just his second outing of the season after injury prevented him from competing until the dual at Duke, where he narrowly lost a 7-5 decision. Junior Charlie Wolff (heavyweight) and senior Ben Altman (125) also placed in their respective classes at the Davidson Open. Altman leads the 'Cats with a 12-7 overall record and nine points scored in duals. He has won four of his last five bouts, including a pin against Duke.

: Chattanooga has been dominant in the Southern Conference, winning the last five conference titles. They are returning five SoCon individual champions and had four named to the Preseason All-SoCon team in senior Cody Cleveland (141 pounds), sophomore Demetrius Johnson (125), senior Joey Knox (157) and sophomore Jason McCroskey (184). Cleveland's season was prematurely ended with a knee injury, though. He was ranked ninth in the nation at the time. Freshman Jake Young has emerged as one of the team's top threats, as he is ranked 16th nationally at 174 pounds. He went 13-2 in November to claim Wrestler of the Month honors from the SoCon.
