Brent Kasabian is in his first season on the Davidson football staff.
For both the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Kasabian served as a Defensive Analyst at Charlotte. With the 49ers, Kasabian worked primarily with the Outside Linebackers, where he assisted in the development of Julius Welschof, who signed as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition, Outside Linebackers Eyabi Okie (2nd Team - 2023) and Demon Clowney (3rd Team 2024) both garnered All-AAC Defensive Honors.
Prior to his time the 49ers, he spent four years (2019-2022) at Colby College (Maine) where he served as Defensive Line Coach and Special Teams Coordinator.
In 2022, Colby led the NESCAC in Net Punting and finished #22 nationally, while the Kickoff Coverage and Return units finished both in the top three in the conference. Defensively, the Mules recorded their highest sack total since 2013, while finishing first in the NESCAC and #2 in the country in red zone defense in 2021.

In 2017, Kasabian returned to Maine Maritime after serving as an Assistant Coach in 2011. In his second year, the Mariners allowed the least amount of points per game since 2005, and Kasabian helped in the development of two all conference selections at outside linebacker. One of which was also the defensive rookie of the year in the NEWMAC. Prior to MMA, Kasabian served as the Defensive Backs Coach at Norwich University for one year in 2016. Norwich had an all conference selection at Safety under Kasabian's leadership.
He joined the Cadets after serving as the Defensive Coordinator at Curry College for two seasons. In both 2014 and 2015, the Colonels led the NEFC in Pass Defense and finished in the top 20 nationally. In his first year at Curry, the Colonels finished led the conference in Total Defense and 3rd Down Defense (#44 Nationally). Under Kasabian’s watch, Defensive End Parrish Rogers-Reed was named the 2014 NEFC Defensive Player of the Year, D3.com 2nd Team All-East Region
Kasabian joined the Colonels after spending two seasons at Stonehill College, where he first served as the Secondary Coach, before being promoted to Special Teams Coordinator for the 2013 season. During the 2013 season, the Skyhawks claimed a share of the Northeast-10 Conference regular season championship, finishing in the top 10 nationally in both Net Punting and Punt Return Defense. In his first season with Stonehill, they finished first in the conference in both Interceptions and Takeaways.
Kasabian started his coaching career under Hall of Fame Coach Sandy Ruggles at North Middlesex Regional HS (MA).
A native of Tyngsboro, Mass. Kasabian earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Bridgewater State College in 2009, where he played Defensive Back, and was a member of the Bridgewater State team that racked up 30 victories in 40 games, winning both the 2005 and 2006 ECAC Northeast and North Atlantic Bowl games.
Kasabian resides in Huntersville, with his wife Meredith.
