Davidson Athletics Endowed Scholarships
| ENDOWMENT An endowment gift is one of the most powerful gifts a donor can make to Davidson College. Endowed funds provide a lasting source of support for Davidson Athletics through investment of the principal. Gifts can be made to establish endowed scholarship or operational funds to assist with annual needs. The endowment is a diversified portfolio of investments, resulting from historic gifts, new gifts and capital appreciation over time. A percentage of the endowment value is withdrawn annually to support scholarships, operations and other initiatives. The “draw” is equivalent to five percent of the five-year rolling average of the market value. *Endowments can be funded through outright or planned gifts. Donors may choose to establish a new endowment fund or add to an existing endowment. SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship Endowed scholarships are an opportunity to bring leading talent to Davidson and benefit scholar-athletes in perpetuity. Currently, Davidson awards 83 endowed athletic scholarships each year at varying levels. With more endowed athletic scholarships, annual gifts to the Davidson Athletic Annual Fund can be applied to other athletics needs. NAMED SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT LEVELS
