DURHAM, N.C. – Building on the momentum of career-best performances in the heptathlon by Hannah Casey (4,553) and Koryn Smith (4,393), the Davidson women's track and field team set five more personal records Friday at the Duke Invitational.
In the 1500, Elise Boyse was one of three Wildcats in the event to set a new PR. Boyse led the way with a time of 4:33.20. She was followed closely by Ansley Prescott, who finished in 4:33.74, and Molly Sullivan, who also secured a new standard with a time of 4:36.38.
Abby Smith's season-best time of 17:24.04 led the way for Davidson in the 5000m, while Gilly Shumate (17:37.17) and Tate Arrington (18:07.55) added to the team's success by setting their own personal records.
The final day of competition will begin Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
