WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. / LEXINGTON, Va. – In addition to Davidson's Ashley Rangel setting another school record, Hannah Casey finished runner-up among collegiate competitors in pentathlon to begin weekend meets for the women's indoor track & field team at the Camel City Sprints and VMI Winter Relays.
Just up the road, Rangel shined at JDL with a mark of 14.51m (47-07.25) in the weight throw, breaking her own record, which was set a year ago.
This marks the second straight weekend the sophomore has set a new standard as she eclipsed her previous mark in the shot put at the Tryon Banked Invitational.

Highlighted by wins in the 60m hurdles and shot put, Casey totaled 3420 points Friday in Lexington to finish second just 50 points behind Lizzie Lopez of Elon. Her throw of 11.42m (37-05.75) in the shot put was a new personal record.
