Wildcats Win First Match of the Season

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Davidson volleyball team took down William & Mary in four sets on Saturday afternoon. For the second straight match, the Wildcats got off to a strong start. Davidson posted a .405 hitting percentage and claimed the opening set 25-22.
Following a setback in the second set, the Wildcats won the third set 25-18. Anna Withee led the charge with six kills in this set.
Ellie Ocampo made her Davidson debut recorded four kills in the fourth set to help seal the victory. The Wildcats took the fourth set 25-20.
Davidson got a ton of production from multiple scholar-athletes in this match. Elena Garcia-Guerrios posted a team-high 13 kills and 13 digs. Anna Withee bounced back and had 11 kills with a .348 hitting percentage. Ngodoo Harris made a statement in her first action with the Wildcats in a regular season match. The freshman tallied seven kills, had only one error, and a .462 hitting percentage.
