ATLANTA, Ga. - Davidson College women's basketball earned the No. 11 spot on the 2024-25 Women's Basketball Coaches Association Academic Team Honor Roll, the organization announced Tuesday.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their roster for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
The Wildcats, who placed three athletes on the College Sports Communicators All-Academic Team, ended the year with a program-record 3.711 team GPA. Davidson was the lone Atlantic 10 school to be featured in the Top 25, and it marked the Wildcats' second consecutive season within the top 15 programs after they garnered the No. 13 spot in 2023-24.
"We are incredibly proud of our team in achieving this recognition from the WBCA of being in the Academic Top 25," said head coach Gayle Fulks. "We take a lot of pride in being an institution in which you have the best of both worlds. It speaks to the caliber of scholar-athlete that we have within our program to have a best-ever finish in the A-10 concurrently with our best-ever semester in the classroom."
