On April 10, the Davidson women's basketball program gathered with family, alumni, and supporters for their annual end-of-year banquet—an evening dedicated to celebrating a truly historic season and the incredible community that surrounds the program.

Held on campus, the banquet served as a moment of reflection and recognition, honoring the achievements of the 2024-25 Wildcats, who made program history with their first-ever appearance in the A-10 semifinals and an inaugural bid to the WBIT tournament.

The evening featured heartfelt speeches, awards, and a powerful message from alum Kim Taylor, who spoke about the enduring strength of the Davidson community—one that extends far beyond the court and the classroom. Taylor emphasized how Davidson builds lifelong bonds that serve its student-athletes for years to come.

Highlighting the program's deep sense of family, head coach Gayle Fulks reflected on what makes Davidson women's basketball truly special: "We were reminded that the true strength of Davidson women's basketball lies in its people. Our student-athletes are not only talented players—they are high-character individuals who care deeply about each other, about this program, and about the broader Davidson community. The bond within our team is real, and we believe it makes us one of the most cohesive teams in all of women's college basketball. That connection is our 'secret sauce'—it's what drives our culture and sets us apart."

The banquet also honored several players with special team awards: Beyond the celebration of the past, the night also cast a hopeful eye toward the future. With a strong core of returning players and a strategic approach to the transfer portal, the program is poised to continue its upward trajectory.

"We're proud of what we accomplished this past season, and even more excited about what's to come," said Fulks. "We feel that we have a strong returning roster, and as I mentioned at the banquet, we will be using the transfer portal strategically to complement our current group. We're embracing this new era of college athletics while staying true to what makes Davidson so unique—its academic rigor, its tight-knit community, and its commitment to holistic student development.

"Our mission remains clear: to provide the best collegiate athlete experience in the country. We want every young woman who comes through our program to leave Davidson with an education, a network, and a set of experiences that are second to none."

To everyone who joined us for the banquet—thank you for being part of this special celebration. Your support means the world to our team. And to our fans, stay connected during the offseason—we've got a lot of exciting news ahead as we gear up for another great year of Davidson women's basketball.
