Felt Wins Third Event on Final Day of A-10s

HAMPTON, Va. — A third gold medal by Dylan Felt, Jeremy Kemp's bronze medal and Andrew Schou's school record highlighted Davidson's fourth and final day at the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships at the Hampton Aquaplex.
 
Felt's win in the 1,650 free, with a time of 15:08.31, marked his third A-10 gold medal in the distance event and also his third win at this year's championships (200 free, 500 free).
 
Kemp added the bronze medal in the 200 back, posting a time of 1:45.72, while Schou placed fifth in the 200 breast and improved upon his own school record (1:58.02). The Wildcat men totaled 446 points and finished fourth among eight teams.
 
Felt, Kemp, Mitch McClain and Guil Ware placed fifth in the 400 free relay (2:57.44). In the 200 fly, Robby Votta (1:47.56) and Fletcher Smith (1:48.02) finished 7-8, and Liam McDonough added eighth-place points in the 200 back (1:50.11). Mitch McClain (8th, 44.95) and Ware (10th, 44.75) added points in the 100 free.
 
Others earning points included Henry Logan (1,650 free, 11th, 15:47.07), Jackson McDonald (1,650 free, 13th, 15:52.30), Zach Jones (200 fly, 14th, 1:50.74), Davis Moore (1,650 free, 15th, 15:56.54), Ryan Shute (200 breast, 15th, 2:02.64) and Garrett Sablich (3M diving, 16th, 207.55).  
 
The Davidson women totaled 300.5 points and finished sixth among 11 teams. They were led by a 7-8 finish by Anna Newman (2:16.72) and Rani Greer (2:22.99) in the 200 breast, and the 400 relay of Ginny Thorsen, Addison Constantinides, Brooke Mahoney and Addy Donaldson also took seventh (3:23.30).
 
In the 100 free, Mahoney (10th, 50.78) and Donaldson (12th, 50.96) earned points, while in the 1,650 free, Greer (14th, 17:13.87) and Thorsen (16th, 17:19.25) added points.
 
Diving coach Greg Ferrucci was named Atlantic 10 Women's Diving Coach of the Year.
