Wildcats Host Second Annual Davidson Duals

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson College wrestling team hosted the second annual Davidson Duals inside Belk Arena on Friday. The Wildcats dropped all three of their matches: 26-13 against Morgan State, 38-9 against No. 18 Little Rock and a 41-3 defeat against Brown in the nightcap.
Morgan State Match
Luke Passarelli started things off with an 8-5 win at 125 pounds, while Tyson Sherlock earned a 16-5 major for his 10th win of the season at 141 pounds. Bryce Griffin gutted out a 1-0 decision victory, and DJ Spring earned his third dual win with a 9-6 outcome.
Little Rock Match
Outside of a forfeit win by Enis Ljikovic at 133 pounds, Sherlock was the lone victor against the Trojans. He collected a 10-4 win over Brennan Van Hoecke and now sits at 11-3 this season.
Brown Match
Tyler-Xavier McKnight bounced back from a loss against No. 10 Jordan Williams in the match before with a 5-0 win over Austin McBurney. It was the lone win for the Wildcats in the dual, but boosted McKnight's overall record to 21-8.
