DURHAM, N.C. -- Despite more double-digit efforts at the net from Jackie Bardin and Isabel Decker, the Davidson volleyball team fell 3-0 to LSU on Saturday afternoon in game two of the Duke Invitational.
As Davidson's lead outside-hitting duo, Bardin notched 14 kills in addition to 10 from Decker, while the pair hit a combined .500 for the match.
Overall, the Tigers hit .407 and totaled seven blocks to hold the 'Cats to a team .243 attacking percentage.Â
Davidson battled LSU to seven ties and four lead changes in the second set, while taking an early 9-8 lead after back-to-back kills from Emma Slusser and Bardin before ultimately falling 25-20 for the second-straight frame.
In all, Kinsey Smith (18) and Xuan Nguyen (15) combined for 33 assists. LSU's Bailey Ortega dished 39 assists of her own.Â
