DAVIDSON, N.C. – After being just the second All-American in program history, Jayden Smith will compete in the United States Olympic Team Trials in Eugene, Oregon on Monday, June 24.

Smith most recently earned a top-15 finish at the NCAA Championships on June 5 with a time of 13.57 seconds. The Richmond, Va. native will enter Monday night's opening round with a qualifying time of 13.46 seconds which he obtained at the NCAA East Regional.

The three-time Atlantic 10 110H Champion will run in the second of four heats in lane one. To advance to the semifinals, the six fastest times from each heat plus the next three fastest times move on. Smith comes in with the sixth-fastest qualifying time in his heat.

In the semifinals, the top two from each heat plus the next three fastest times advance to the finals, and the top three finishers in the final will qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris.

Smith ran at USATF's 2023 Outdoor Championships last summer where he finished fourth in his heat with a 13.66 and qualified for the U23 Team.

Monday night's opening round of the 110H trials will air live on NBC and Peacock at approximately 8:05 p.m. EST/5:05 p.m. PDT.
