ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Charlotte Calderwood scored a clutch team point on court six for the Davidson women's tennis team as they held off UNC Asheville in a 4-3 road victory Saturday.
"I'm very proud of this group," said head coach Susanne Depka. "They came together, and this was a huge team effort. We fought until the end and never gave up, but also were so tough mentally. We are definitely improving each match. I look forward to Sunday."
The win over the Bulldogs improves the Wildcats' record to a tidy 3-0 while UNC Asheville becomes 1-2 to start the season.
