Valmassei's Victory Leads 'Cats on Final Day at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Diver Annica Valmassei earned a win, and multiple Wildcats turned in second-place performances on Sunday as Davidson wrapped up competition at the three-day Bucknell Invitational.
Valmassei's victory came in three-meter diving, as she totaled 288.65 points to lead a 1-2 Davidson finish. Teammate Elle Jacobsen followed closely behind in second with 288.30 points.
Andrew Schou and Fletcher Smith earned second-place points Sunday as well, Schou in the 200 breast (2:00.54) and Smith in the 200 fly (1:47.41).
Dylan Felt took third in the 1,650 free with a time of 15:44.00, and fourth-place finishes came from Jeremy Kemp (200 back, 1:48.42), Robby Votta (200 fly, 1:49.44) and the women's 400 free relay of Ginny Thorsen, Addy Donaldson, Addison Constantinides and Brooke Mahoney (3:24.59).
Anna Newman (5th, 2:19.65) and Rani Greer (7th, 2:20.13) helped the Davidson women earn A finals points in the 200 breast. Addy Donaldson swam seventh in the 100 free (51.32), and Ann Thompson was eighth in the 200 back (2:05.52).
Rounding out the men's top performances was the sixth-place 400 free relay team of Felt, Guil Ware, Ben McClain and Matthew Shnowske (3:01.84).
