MONTERREY, Mexico – Highlighted by his second consecutive round of five-under par, Davidson's Will Davis (-6) is in fourth place at the halfway point of the 2024 Monterrey Collegiate Classic hosted by George Washington.

The two-day / 54-hole event is being played on the Par 71, 7,141-yard Club Campestre Monterrey layout.

Unlike most collegiate events, the 10 participating teams will play 27 continuous holes both Friday and Saturday instead of 36 and 18, respectively.

In addition to host Revolutionaries, the field includes the following teams, Creighton, Davidson, Loyola (Md.), North Dakota State, Richmond, Seattle, Tarleton State, Utah State, UTRGV, Valparaiso and VCU.

Coming off a third-place showing at the Furman Invitational, Davis opened with a 67 before moving to 6-under at days end.

Like Davis, Joshua Stewart continued his impressive play and sits tied for 11th at three-under.

Four of the five players in Davidson's lineup are under par on their second round.

At the halfway point, Loyola (Md.) holds the top spot on the team leaderboard at 13-under. A total of 10 teams are currently under par with just 11 shots separating the top-10 spots in the standings.

Juan Luis Bethencourt of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley leads the 73-player field at 11-under.

The final day of competition will begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.
