Siebert Leads the Way for Men's XC at Spider Open

MECHANICSVILLE, Va. - Sophomore Charlie Siebert took the top spot for the 'Cats as Davidson men's cross country ran at the Spider Open, hosted by the University of Richmond at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. Siebert finished the 6k race in 18:16.2 in 13th place.Â
"Today was a low key opener for us today, and it was great for the team to see the course where we will be racing the A-10 Championship," Director of Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Renny Waldron said. "Charlie moved up well and looked strong."
"We will race close to a full team in a couple of weeks at the Adidas Challenge, and that will be fun to see most of our top guys back in action."
Rafi Degenero finished the race in 19:36.8 with Ryan Harris and Owen Lekki following behind crossing the finish line at 19:56.3 and 20:16.9 respectively.Â
