DAVIDSON, N.C. –Wrestling fell in a Southern Conference dual Tuesday night to on-state foe Appalachian State at Belk Arena, 43-0.
With the loss Davidson falls to 2-10 in duals and 0-3 in SoCon action, while with the win App State improves to 7-6 and 4-1 in conference clashes.
Wildcat senior Tony Palumbo was scoreless through the first period at 157 pounds, but Angel Najar was quick to escape after taking bottom in the next frame and added a takedown in a 4-0 decision.
Davidson returns to the mat Wednesday, Mar. 20 for a road SoCon dual at The Citadel. First bout from Charleston, S.C. is slated for 6 p.m.
