Volleyball's Season Ends With A-10 Tourney Loss

KINGSTON, R.I. — The Davidson volleyball team ended its season Friday evening with a 3-0 loss to Saint Louis in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament.
The sixth-seeded Wildcats, in the six-team event for the second time in six A-10 seasons, finish the season 10-18.
The third-seeded Billikens (17-11) advanced with a 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 victory five days after edging Davidson 3-2 in the final match of the regular season.
Hattie Rodriguez, fresh off her A-10 Second-Team honor, led Davidson with seven kills, while Malia Kay had five and Annalyse Kitzberger had four. Julia Black (10) and Emily Kane (9) led the way in assists, while Josie Treadwell (10) and Kay (8) led in digs.
Saturday's semifinals at Keaney Gymnasium will include No. 5 La Salle against No. 1 VCU, and Saint Louis facing No. 2 Dayton.
