Wrestling Suffers 41-3 Setback to Gardner-Webb in Home Finale

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson sophomore Aidan Conroy stole the only bout of the match from Gardner-Webb as wrestling fell in the home finale at Belk Arena Sunday night, 41-3.
Conroy stole a victory in the 149-pound weight class, earning a hard-fought decision over Bulldog Joby Armenta, 8-4. The Arsdley, N.Y., native picked up his first SoCon win of the season, improving to 1-5 in conference and 5-14 overall.
The Runnin' Bulldogs with nine bout wins including a pair of pins and two technical falls.
The Wildcats finish out the regular season Sunday, Feb. 19 at The Citadel. First bout from Charleston, S.C. is slated for 2 p.m.
