Davidson Wrestling Suffers Setback at Duke

DURHAM, N.C. – Led by consecutive wins by fall, Duke downed Davidson wrestling, 43-0 Wednesday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Brandon Gambucci and Tanner Hough earned back-to-back pins at 133 and 141 pounds, respectively to lead the Blue Devils (2-6). Duke also earned 12 points via forfeit at 184 and 197 pounds.
Davidson (0-11) junior Matt Zarth yielded a close 7-5 decision at 125 pounds to Peter Terrezza, and the two pins allowed Duke to take a 15-0 lead. The 'Cats then dropped four decisions before forfeiting two weights. Robby Mello claimed the heavyweight bout for Duke with a 1204 major decision for the final margin.
Davidson will return to action Saturday in a neutral site match with Millersville on the campus of Gardner-Webb University.
