Another early lead, 12-6, led to another quick victory for Canisius in the second set, a 25-11 win, before the Wildcats started their comeback bid.

Davidson surrendered a 6-4 edge as the Griffs won four straight points, including a pair of kills from Joanna Burt, to pull ahead, 9-6. The Wildcats answered with a 10-3 run to regain the lead, 16-12, and another 4-0 span, including a pair of aces by Lawson, put away the 25-20 win to send the match into a fourth set.

The Wildcats carried the momentum right into the fourth, jumping out to an early 7-2 lead behind two kills from Peele and strong serving from Crenshaw. The Griffs regrouped after a quick timeout and knotted the score at 13. Back-to-back putaways from Christine Perzinski and Peele gave the 'Cats a two-point cushion, but Canisius knotted the score at 20 on a Wildcat error.

Another Davidson error gave the Griffs a 21-20 advantage, but Davidson rattled off three straight to take a 23-21 lead. Davidson couldn't capitalize as a service error and attack error tied the set again, before the 'Cats got a set-point chance on a hitting error from the Griffins. Godfrey, though, put away the pass from Davis and a pair of Wildcat hitting errors delivered the 26-24 win for the match.
